About Us

The National Finance Society is the global association of the financial industry, with more than 450 members from more than 70 countries. Its mission is to support the financial industry in the prudent management of risks; to develop sound industry practices; and to advocate for regulatory, financial and economic policies that are in the broad interests of its members and foster global financial stability and sustainable economic growth. NFSociety members include commercial and investment banks, asset managers, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, central banks and development banks.

Mission Statement: To lead the financial management profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional success. To equip our members with immediately applicable finance skills to address the challenges of today’s business world.   

Vision: We envision a world where well-education professional make informed, thoughtful, and beneficial financial management decisions that benefit the utmost society. We serve all financial management professionals seeking knowledge, education, career development, network and inspiration.
NFSociety established the Advisory Board to advise the Directors of the Board on policies regarding the activities of the association. The Advisory Board is to meet at least annually.

The Advisory Board shall consist of 9 members, including the Administrator of the governmental financial regulator, or his or her designee and eight private citizens who shall be selected, to the maximum extent practicable, to provide for national geographic representation and racial, ethnic, and gender diversity, including: two individuals who are officers of existing financial institutions; two individuals who are Chief Financial Officers for for-profit organizations or public interest organizations; two individuals who have expertise in career development; and two individuals who has personal experience and specialized expertise in the securities and futures investment issues.
